Having a netbook connected to the internet has
helped me in many different ways this year.
I have learnt how to multiply like what is 5 to the power of 3.
My teacher has taught me how to use strategies to solve problems.
I know how to use Study Ladder and Maths Whizz on the internet.
My friend sometimes helps me to solve problems on maths sites
or Maths Whizz. My friend Tyrone is very smart at doing maths and he can solve
some problems by using his brain to work out problems. I have
taught others to use the internet on there netbook. Now they know
how to access Study Ladder or there Google Drive documents. This
year on my netbook I have doe reading activites and research on my Inquiry projects to find information. My netbook is very helpful and it
is faster to do work. I have improved this year and I have thought about
my learning before I start doing my work. I have had fun on my netbook
here at Glenbrae School.

DANCE FEVER
On a cold raining morning room 10 made there way to the
hall/auditorium in the rain. When we got there we got right into
our foxtrot. We put some finishing touches on and it was done.
Then we put in a new move for our Cha Cha. It's going be fantastic
when we go up on stage to perform to the school. We finished our
Hip hop routine and it is finished. It looks fantastic and beautiful.
We are going to be great on stage because we know it. We are
being taught all 3 dances from a dance class called "DANCE FEVER".
They teach us how to dance. They are Captain and Christina. The CC'z

Fiji Festival
WOW! A Fiji Festival at Glenbrae School.
The boys perfomed a haka to welcome the fijian family. It was very scary and some of the boys were shy. We done the haka to show them that we welcome them into our school. They taught us some fijian words like Bula means hello and Vinaka means thank you. Then after that we all stood up and done a fruit song. It goes like this "watermelon Watermelon Pineapple pineapple banana banana fruit salad fruit salad". We sang faster and faster and were very tired. It was a really amazing fruit song.
Then we settled down and then the fijian boys done there haka and performed there dances and done there Meke. Some of the haka boys went up on stage to dance with the others. They sang they natinal anthem and it was very beautiful. What a very beautiful fijian festival at glenbrae school.

The weekends
The weekends
On Friday night some of us stayed up to cook and make the food for the birthday. Then we went to get the tables and chairs. We set up the chairs and tables. We put the tents up outside at the back and in front of the house. It was so windy that day and the tent broke and ripped open so we took it down. My uncles started cooking the food on the BBQ. When it was finished the bouncy castle had arrived. We were very excited because we wanted to play on it straight away. It was 2 hours then everyone gathered into here the speech that was prepared. Then my Mum’s brother prayed for the food.
Then people started eating and drinking. We talked about the birthday and everyone gave presents to the birthday boy. Then everyone played tag and rugby. Then had a few relays and races. It was really challenging because some others were faster than you thought they would be. We came back to the garage and sat down. Then the parents said a speech and thanked the others for helping set the party up and thank you for the others that came and celebrated Iverson’s 1st birthday.
After the party my cousin’s stayed and we played a game of pool on the pool table. It was easy because some of them didn’t know how to play. I versed someone older than me and I still won. We had a good laugh and played some rough wrestling on the bouncy castle. I speared my brother very hard and he started to cry. I felt guilty but happy because everyone laughed. I said sorry for going rough on him. Then we started throwing each other to the other side of the bouncy castle. We chased others around and ankle tapped our little brothers. then we all had to get off because the bouncy castle was going. Then on Sunday we had a huge clean up and took everything back washed up and rested on Monday. What a long challenging fun weekend.

Mighty Muscles
1. Think about three kinds of athletes-sprinters, weightlifters, and gymnasts. They all use muscles in different ways. How are they different? What do they need their muscles to do? Can you think of other sports in which athletes use their muscles in similar ways to these three kinds of athletes? When do you use your muscles in the way they use theirs?
Flexible Muscles, Strength muscles, To gain speed.
2. Now think of an activity that you do, for example, making a ham and lettuce sandwich. Mime all of the actions (taking the ham and lettuce out of the fridge, picking up the knife, and so on) while your partner writes down the parts of your body and the muscles that are involved. How many muscles does it take to do this simple tasks?
Finger muscles, Arm and shoulder muscles, elbow muscles, legs, spine.
3. Together, read through the card again. Take turns to explain how pairs of muscles work. How many pairs of muscles can you find in your body-for example, the ones you use to open and close your mouth?
There are 642 muscles in a human body, A baby has 300 bones, There are 206 bones in a human body, You use 4-22 muscles when you lift dumbells.
